Objectives of this Role

  • Serve as a versatile and key member of the HR team, responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions and providing comprehensive support to employees and management.
  • Handle various aspects of HR, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, leave management and compliance while serving as the backup for payroll processing and benefits administration. 
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments to contribute to maintaining a positive work culture and driving the success of HR initiatives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HR principles while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize HR operations and contribute to the organization's overall success.

Essential Functions

  • Talent Acquisition:  
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, streamline recruitment processes, and support candidate selection. 
    • Oversee all aspects of recruitment and onboarding including job postings, candidate interviews, and offer letters.
    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.  
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a resource for employees, addressing concerns, and conflicts, and promoting positive relationships across the organization.
  • Benefits and Payroll:
    • Act as a support to the Benefits and Payroll Specialist which includes processing payroll as needed.  Support benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries. 
  • Leave Management:
    • Administer FMLA, STD and LTD, including coordination between employees and third-party administrators. 
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and company policies.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations through HR processes and practices.
    • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring HR practices align with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Performance Management:
    • Collaborate with managers to facilitate performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans.
  • HRIS and Data Management:
    • Utilize the Dayforce HRIS system to its full potential, managing system configurations, troubleshooting advanced issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Use Dayforce and other company systems to analyze HR data, generate meaningful insights, and present HR metrics to senior management.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives
    • Contribute to HR projects and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.
    • Participate in special HR initiatives as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HR Specialist or similar HR role.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS, payroll systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
