JOB OVERVIEW
The Renewable Energy Business Development Officer is responsible for selling various renewable energy financial products to sponsors and developers. Additionally, the position is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, prospecting, and closing a variety of renewable energy tax credit and structured debt investments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with executive leadership to evaluate and develop strategic initiatives to increase revenues.
- Contribute capital raising efforts.
- Establish connections to pinpoint key decision-makers, unlocking pathways to new opportunities.
- Build and nurture relationships with project developers.
- Assist with business line design and operations.
- Participate in the development of corporate strategy. Set objectives and identify methods for reaching those goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies on how to market, sell, deliver, and grow existing and new clients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-4 years of prior Renewable Energy experience
- 2+ years of Business Development and Underwriting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- A demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Travel 25%-50% of the time.
