Tax Accountant

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

Reporting to the Manager of Tax Compliance this role will support compliance with financial and tax requirements and regulations by maintaining and preparing tax-related items that involve tax records, returned, schedules and related reports. This individual will also prepare federal, state and local level returns to be submitted with specified tax deadlines.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of income tax returns and tax return adjustments
• Preparation of allocation and apportionment schedules and reconciliation to general ledger amounts
• Preparation of exemption certificates
• Preparation of sales and use tax returns/analysis
• Prepare individual company tax basis balance sheets and assist with provision deferred calculations
• Analyze and prepare all foreign bank reporting memos and required forms for policy adherence
• Performing other duties as required

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience in tax or accounting fields preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize work assignments
• Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts and utilize accounting reports
• Working knowledge of Excel,  SAP, Word, tax software
• Excellent analytical rigor for financial and accounting duties
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the ability to perform office related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
• Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment 
• Must be able to use a computer
• Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
