2024 Fiesta de Cultura
Join the Global Learning Exchange Initiative (GLXi®) on Sept. 15 as we celebrate Hispanic cultural heritage and engage in a meaningful cause!
Our annual Fiesta fundraiser holds extra significance this year as we use the event to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month and to commemorate Independence Day in Guatemala and other Latin American countries.
And what better way to mark the occasion than with the infectious beats of Latin music, savory Hispanic culinary offerings, and the company of friends who believe in bringing literacy and training to classrooms in Guatemala!
Guests will enjoy good music - the iconic sounds of Gipsy Social. This talented band expertly fuses the fiery flamenco spirit with the rich rhythms of Latin music, echoing the legendary styles of the Gipsy Kings and Buena Vista Social Club. Guests will engage in a musical journey that promises a festive blend of soul-stirring guitars, vibrant brass, and evocative vocals that capture the essence of a lively Latin fiesta.
Guests will enjoy good food—who doesn’t love a taco bar?!?!? Our taco bar will be open throughout the event, providing a variety of flavors to enjoy as you immerse yourself in the music and the cause. We will also offer refreshments at our cash bar. Note: Two complimentary drink tickets come with each ticket purchase!

Participating in “Fiesta de Cultura” directly contributes to Global Learning Exchange Initiative's (GLXi’s®) efforts to broaden access to literacy and education in Guatemala. Proceeds from the Fiesta fund our work to build teacher capacity and achieve literacy for primary school children in Guatemala.
