Latinx Care Coordinator
 
The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery (SLCN) Family Empowerment team is seeking two full time Latinx Care Coordinators to serve in our community M-F days. The Latinx Care Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to address immediate basic needs, provide resources, support and advocacy efforts in service of the Latinx community.
 
As a part of the SLCN’s mission of Child Abuse Prevention, the Latinx Care Coordinator role is specifically designed to respond to the unique and growing needs of the Latinx community, by providing crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals. The Care Coordinator will provide services through a trauma-informed lens to meet these specific needs and advance the safety, wellbeing and inclusivity of the Latinx community throughout the region. Services to families are provided in office and community. The Care Coordinator will also help our Social Workers who facilitate therapeutic groups for parents involved in LOP as well as participate in client outreach events.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Degree in Social Work, Counseling or closely related field
  • Experience working with the Latinx community
  • Cultural sensitivity to urgent needs of newly immigrated families
  • A strong commitment to service
  • A passion for the mission of the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery
