Human Resources Generalist

$55,000 to $65,000 annually (based on experience) + Benefits 
Work is on-site - Monday through Friday - 40 to 45 hours per week

The Human Resources Generalist will manage HR policies and procedures, employee benefits administration, and daily HR-related tasks such as full cycling recruiting, learning and development, and employee assessment process. The newly remodeled offices create a welcoming and functional environment for the 240 employees and their clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Reviews and documents compliance for training, continuing education, and work assessments

· Recruits and facilitates the hiring of job applicants for open positions

· Conducts background checks and other verifications

· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to employee benefits, FMLA. ADA, and engagement and retention

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

· Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

· Proficiency with learning the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems

· Conflict resolution

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Education and Experience:

· Two years of HR experience required

· Experience in a not-for-profit is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, BA, or related field required
